6th Annual Commemoration
Attention friends and supporters of People of Red Mountain: we will NOT be gathering at Peehee Mu’huh for the 6th Annual Commemoration this September. We are instead asking that you honor our ancestors with prayer, reflection, and connection to land wherever you may find yourself. Thank you for standing with us as we continue to work for a better future for the land and ourselves.

Caldera Film Screening
Sean Grasso’s latest film documenting the development of lithium mining in the McDermitt Caldera and its impact on the surrounding communities will be shown July 3rd on the McDermitt Reservation and July 4th in the town of McDermitt. McDermitt Gathering
People of Red Mountain and the Protect McDermitt Caldera Coalition will host a community gathering in McDermitt, Nevada on May 12th. All are welcome!

Wild and Scenic
The film, People of Red Mountain: Life Over Lithium, will be screened at the Wild and Scenic film festival in Reno, NV this Friday (see flyer for details). We will be there for a short discussion following the screening. Please join us in solidarity!

Klamath Community Gathering
People of Red Mountain and the Protect McDermitt Caldera Coalition are heading to Chiloquin, Oregon on October 27th for a community gathering! Learn about the impact of mining in the region and share your knowledge.

We will be hosting the 5th Annual commemoration of Peehee Mu’huh massacres September 12th and 13th at Nipple Rock. We honor the ancestors, the land, ourselves, and future generations with our presence, our prayer, and our song. Join us! All are welcome!

McDermitt Community Gathering
Please join us at the Fort McDermitt Tribal Administration building on Monday June 9th. People of Red Mountain, along with our coalition members, will be hosting a continued discussion about lithium mining projects in the McDermitt Caldera. Come to learn, come to share your knowledge, come for free food!
