Oregon Falls in Line with the Lithium Agenda

The State of Oregon has granted lithium exploration permits to High Tech Minerals despite strong opposition from groups across the state as well as the Great Basin. Oregon issued these permits without a public comment period. Our partners at Earthworks have posted a response to the news citing the words of People of Red Mountain member, Daranda Hinkey, and other leaders of the Protect McDermitt Caldera Coalition. Caldera Film Screening

Sean Grasso’s latest film documenting the development of lithium mining in the McDermitt Caldera and its impact on the surrounding communities will be shown July 3rd on the McDermitt Reservation and July 4th in the town of McDermitt.
