Next up from Running on Sagebrush Time Vol. 2 is a piece that I wrote to Reno News and Review in response to opinions that had been published in favor of mining at Thacker Pass. Sadly, we have seen some of these concerns already come to pass.

People of Red Mountain will now be hosting the 4th Annual Commemoration of Peehee Mu’huh Massacres at Nipple Rock September 20th – 22nd. Please adjust your calendars and join us in remembrance of past events as well as conversations regarding current happenings in the McDermitt Caldera.

People of Red Mountain will be hosting the 4th annual commemoration of PeeHee Mu’huh massacres September 13th-15th, 2024. Make a plan to camp with us at Nipple Rock Friday and Saturday nights. Though Thacker Pass mine is currently moving forward, we will continue to honor our ancestors and future generations by gathering in remembrance. PeeHee Mu’huh!

Our allies at Great Basin Resource Watch are celebrating 30 years of working with communities to protect their land, air, and water! On top of that, they will be screening the recent documentary People of Red Mountain: Life Over Lithium at their event. Show your support for GBRW and PRM in Reno on Tuesday, May 14th!

Our friends at San Diego State University have put together a short film documenting our fight to protect Peehee Mu’huh and the McDermitt Caldera. If you’re in Southern California, please come join us for the first screening on Thursday, April 25th.
